Any coach/teacher/instructor knows we play the same way we practice. If we don't slow down to put it on or near the numbers every time we will not put it in the beginning of a forced landing site. If we don't maintain maneuvering airspeed on every takeoff, we will be too slow when the engine quits on takeoff or go around. If we habitually hear and avoid, we will not see and avoid the crop duster. Basic stuff matters every day.
