Congratulations, Deanna!

Deanna Flemings, the subject of our “Why We Fly” for the July 2009 issue of AOPA Flight Training, is a student pilot no longer. She passed her private pilot checkride just as the issue went to press. Deanna’s first passenger was her mom. Her stepdad, David Messina, is a pilot who has flown with her on many occasions. Deanna’s next two checkpoints: high school graduation and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Congratulations, Deanna!

I’m the guy that was standing in front of you and your father at the food stand last Saturday at Festival of Flight. If I had known I was standing in the presence of a celebrity I would have talked more to you.

Hey Deanna Congradulations this is your sister i kno you might not know me i never seen you before but i have seen pictures when you were a baby. But i wish i did because i would love to have big sister and my life my mom talks about you all the time she really misses you she wishes she could see you she always crys on your birthday youll look so much alike its funny but sis i really want to meet you one day and hopefully that happens you are my idol. One day can contact me when you are ready because my mom would love to see it will be a miracle she tells everybody about you. I just want my mom to meet before her life is over on this earth. Without you my mom lives with hurt on your birthdays i cant stop her to cry we pray to see you all time. I might be young but i want to find a way for you to be in our lives. I want to make my mother happier. I want you to meet your mother she is really wonderful she supports are country she has been in the army ever since the day you have been taken away from her life in jesus name i asked the lord just to lead you to her i want her to be happy again in she isnt goin to be without you.
