The weather guys are very proud of their new AIRMET graphical weather interface for pilots. Select a few of your highest-priority weather concerns by pressing buttons at the top of the page, then hit play. You can select and de-select weather products while the AIRMETs continue to play on a national map. Spring through time to see what is happening over the next few hours.

Great tool. I was a big fan of the experimental Aviation Weather Overlay product, for its graphical depiction of AIRMETs, SIGMETs, etc. all together. This takes it another step. Thanks for publicizing!

WOW! Outstanding addition to “ADDS”
Anything that adds more visibility to flight planning is a gainer to safety.
Good Job!

I think the graphical airmet pages are great and I use them all the time. But what do the icing labels (eg. 200 over 100/060) mean. I know it’s talking about expected bottom and top layers for expected icing, but what is the third number. I’ve asked a lot of “experts” and searched for an explanation in the keys, and have yet to get a definitive answer. Do you know exactly what is being displayed?
